'I have attended Talking Hands for three weeks and have found there to be a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Although the songs can sometimes be a bit fast-paced (especially for a Nana!!), Sharon takes time to explain the signs and gives you a couple of attempts at each song. I can see that even after three weeks, my Grandson is paying more attention to Sharon and 'Cuddles' and especially loves it when the instruments come out. I have found baby signing to be a very fun and educational experience for both myself and my son. Not only does it teach my son to communicate with people before he can speak, but gives him the ability to communicate with other people with speaking and hearing difficulties. Also, my son has become a lot more outgoing, and enjoys singing and dancing along with the songs in and out of class. However, going to class has also enabled me to teach my son valuable social skills, like sharing, and playing nicely with other babies his own age. Michelle & Callum x |
